Table 1: Results of the porosity analysis performed on waterlogged wood samples (wood called ECBL) impregnated with starch and different drying methods.

1- I-NTTH: Impregnated sample – not submitted to thermal treatment– dried by warm air at 30°C
2- I-TTH: Impregnated sample – submitted to thermal treatment – dried by warm air at 30°C
3- I-NTTH: Impregnated sample – not submitted to thermal treatment – dried by continuous vacuum at 30°C
4- NI-NTTH: Not impregnated sample – not submitted to thermal treatment – dried by continuous vacuum at 30°C
5- I-TTH: Impregnated sample – submitted to thermal treatment – dried by continuous vacuum at 30°C
6- I-NTTH: Impregnated sample – not submitted to thermal treatment – dried by freeze drying
7- I-TTH: Impregnated sample – submitted to thermal treatment – dried by DDS – 0.50 bar.

Used codes in the observation: L-cracked: slightly cracked M-Preserved: better preserved
